湖・光 Beyond the lake許東榮個展 Hsu Tung-Lung Solo Exhibition

漂泊在湖面上的光影，隨時間交替，變換難以預測的軌跡，時而跳耀，時而沈浸，時而舞動，是日光下綻放剔透的白，亦是夜幕降臨時搖曳的月色。
藝術家許東榮汲取廟宇文化的養分，結合多年累積的美學底蘊，以抽象取代寫實，重新詮釋東方神話人物。在厚重玉石間的每道刻畫，都來自深埋於身體中的記憶，運用飄揚的彩帶，為雕塑帶來輕盈之美，引領觀者隨作品的律動，於玉石的層層線條中窺探創作的脈絡。
光影在表層透出細緻的明暗變化，藏於縫隙裡的盡是寧靜，悟出內斂卻充滿力度的訊息。

The shadows drifting on the lake switch their unpredictable trajectories over time.

Sometimes it springs; sometimes, it is soaked in the lake, while sometimes, it dances.

It is the whiteness that shines in the daylight and the moonlit that sways at nightfall.

Drawing on the nourishment of religious culture, artist HSU Tung-Lung reinterprets oriental mythological figures in an abstract sense with his accumulated aesthetics. Evert cut on the jade comes from a memory embedded in the body. He uses ribbons to bring lightness to the sculpture, guiding the viewer to follow the rhythm of the work and to investigate the context in the layers of the jade.

The light and shadows reveal delicate changes of light and darkness, and the quietness hidden in the crevices reveals an inner message full of energy.

PTT的名字來源於台灣常用的論壇名，取其論壇開放討論的特性，希望能創造一個開放且不斷有新議題的藝術平台。這個空間承載了台北八大畫廊將近40年的歷史，並在這樣的基礎上生發出新的觀念。此空間設立在台北市東區巷內的老公寓中，伴隨周遭濃厚的生活氣息，期待空間外的日常與空間內的展覽相呼應，藝術和生活合而為一。

The name of PTT inspired by a popular forum in Taiwan featured an open discussion with a wide range of topics. We hope to create a space that includes any possibilities for the arts. This space is an exten- sion of the 40 years old Pata Gallery, located in an old apartment in the East District of Taipei and sur- rounded by Taipei’s messy yet nostalgic ambiance.
