第十屆關渡國際動畫節（KuanDu International Animation Festival，簡稱KDIAF）將於
2020年11月1日於國立臺北藝術大學藝文生態館盛大開幕，活動為期七天，並於11月7日舉行
閉幕式與頒獎典禮。七天之中，除了來自世界各地的優秀作品，還有許多不容錯過的精彩活動。
每一年競賽單元「關渡狗動畫獎KuanDog Prize」都是關渡國際動畫節的重頭戲。今年共收到來自71個國家、1300多件作品。在經過初選委員們一個多月的評選後，入圍名單現已正式公布於KDIAF官方網站。本屆共有84部作品入圍競賽片，64部入圍觀摩片，涵蓋各式主題與
風格的競賽單元，將在影展期間一同角逐最佳動畫獎、最佳學生動畫獎、台灣特別獎、台灣學生獎、評審團優選獎與最具產業潛力配樂獎等多項大獎。
而也非常受觀眾期待的邀請策劃單元，今年邀請入圍2020年安錫影展的《我們的七日戰
爭》作為開幕片，以一部充滿青春氣息的冒險故事為動畫節揭開序幕；閉幕片曾在安錫影展
放映的《The Tower》，由挪威導演Mats Grorud創作，從難民營孩童的角度出發尋找家裡的故鄉，是一部值得一看的感人作品。
在其他重要單元包括「十年回顧單元」呈現歷年關渡動畫節精采得獎作品，此外為加強與動畫產業連結，將邀請參與榮獲金獅獎《繼園台七號》的謝文明導演、金鐘獎得獎動畫《小兒子》史明輝導演與夢田文創、旋轉犀牛、Bito甲蟲創意、愛迪斯科技等公司進行多場台灣動畫產業講座；國際單元將邀請法國「克萊蒙影展」放映國際影展精選作品，為觀眾帶來多元視野，同時邀請在國際影視動畫產業及學界知名製片Kevin Geiger與曾獲哥雅獎提名的動畫美術指導Isabel Herguera與擔任貴賓與決選評審，影展期間也將舉辦大師講座、工作坊、產業論壇等一系列活動。
活動期間，影展將會在國立臺北藝術大學藝文生態館免費放映，同時今年將舉辦首次線上影展推廣動畫藝術，服務國際與台灣不同地區之觀眾，同時也將與台北當代藝術館及高雄市電影館合作，舉辦串聯各地的動畫巡迴放映。歡迎各位動畫迷一同來參與第十屆關渡國際動畫節豐富的系列活動，2020 KDIAF期待與大家相聚 !

KuanDu International Animation Festival – KDIAF 2020 Preview
The 10th KuanDu International Animation Festival (KDIAF) will have its grand opening at the
Arts and Activity Complex Building at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) on
November 1st, 2020. The festival will be running for consecutive days until November 7th.
The KDIAF Awards Ceremony will give away all the awards on November 7 th . This year we
present the topic of “Ongoing Moment” which includes all varieties of animated films.
As the focus of the KDIAF every year, the competition program ‘ KuanDog Prize’ receive
more than 1,300 films from 71 countries this year. The official selection has been announced
on the official KDIAF website after careful and vibrant discussions by the selection
committee. A total of 84 films are selected for the competition programs and 64 for KDIAF
Choices. Among those films we have covered a variety of themes and styles, they will be
competing for the Best Animated Short Film Award, Best Student Film Award, Taiwan
Special Award, Taiwan Student Award, Honorable Mention Awards and Best Promising
Score in Industry Award.
As for the invitation programs, this year we will screen “Bokura no nanoka-kan senso”, an Annecy
Award nominated feature film as our opening film. For closing, we have invited a stop-motion
feature film directed by Mats Grorud “The Tower”, the prize winner for Chicago International
Children’s Film Festival. Its touching plot and unique style makes it a must see piece.
For special programs we have scheduled the selection screenings of “KDIAF awards review of the decade ”to screen the prizes winning films in the decades. We invited “Clermont-Ferrand
International Short Film Festival”, screening the films from international film festivals which will
bring multiple perspectives to all the audience. This year, KDIAF invited Director Jack Shih with
Dreamland Image Co., Turn-Rhino Original Design Studio, Bito Studio, Axis 3D Technology, Inc. for aseries of lectures. Also we invited Kevin Geiger, who has achieved considerable success in film andanimation industry and academic circles, Isabel Herguera, a Spain animation director who hasdirected many short films, her short “La gallina ciega”is nominated for Annecy Award and Goya Awards. Together, they will not only be our special guests and jury members but also participate in a series of events such as master class, workshops, and industry forums.
During the festival, TNUA will be the main venue with free of charge. The programs will be
screenings online ,and at Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei and Kaohsiung Film Archive. We look forward to seeing every animation lover to join us in KDIAF 2020!
